Wir haben eine große gesamtgesellschaftliche Aufgabe vor uns - We have a major task ahead of us as a society
Long COVID ist eine der häufigsten Krankheiten weltweit (1). Etwa 400 Millionen Menschen weltweit leiden bereits an Long Covid und die Belastung für die Patienten und die Gesellschaft sind erheblich mit weltweiten wirtschaftlichen Kosten von etwa 1 Billion Dollar pro Jahr (2). Bis 2033 werden voraussichtlich eine Milliarde Menschen an Long Covid leiden. Die Meisten davon sind den ökonomisch aktiven Altersgruppen zuzurechnen und die Auswirkungen auf die Wirtschaft sind unglaublich hoch und stellen ein gewaltiges Problem dar (3).
Als selbst massiv Betroffene von CFS/EBV/MCS/Microbiom/UAWs habe ich mir ganz gezielt das Thema "Personalisierte Medizin eine Gesamtgesellschaftliche Aufgabe - Medizin und Medical Medium zwei essentielle Welten, die es im Rahmen von gesundheitsbezogenem Handeln ein Stück weit zu einen gilt" für meine Marketingmanager-Abschlussthesis ausgewählt. Dabei bin ich tief in die jeweiligen Materien eingetaucht, immer den ganzheitlichen Ansatz und die 360-Grad-Mentalität im Blick. Wir werden diese enorme Herausforderung nur als Gesamtgesellschaftliche Aufgabe meistern können, denn nur ein Fokus auf "Einzeldisziplinen" wird (leider) nicht funktionieren.
Es gibt viel wichtige Arbeit zu leisten, im Gesundheitswesen, am Labortisch, im KI-Bereich, in Kommunikation (inkl. Presse/Medien) und Marketing, in Netzwerken und Plattformen, bei Medical Medium, im juristischen Bereich, Leitlinien, Regierungen/Städte/Regionen, Bildung, ein Jeder von uns. Gesamtgesellschaftlich!

Long COVID is one of the most common illnesses worldwide (1). Around 400 million people worldwide already suffer from long COVID and the burden on patients and society is significant, with a global economic cost of around $1 trillion per year (2). By 2033, one billion people are expected to suffer from long COVID. Most of these are in the economically active age groups, and the impact on the economy is incredibly high and represents a huge problem (3).
As a person severely affected by CFS/EBV/MCS/microbiome/UAWs myself, I specifically chose the topic “Personalized medicine a task for society as a whole - medicine and medical medium, two essential worlds that need to be united to a certain extent in the context of health-related action” for my marketing manager final thesis. I immersed myself deeply in the respective subjects, always keeping the holistic approach and 360-degree mentality in mind. We will only be able to master this enormous challenge as a task for society as a whole, because focusing on “individual disciplines” alone will (unfortunately) not work.
There is a lot of important work to be done, in healthcare, at the lab bench, in the AI field, in communication (incl. press/media) and marketing, in networks and platforms, in Medical Medium, in the legal field, guidelines, governments/cities/regions, education, each and every one of us. Society as a whole!
We have a major task ahead of us for society as a whole, so let's tackle it together!
